Frequently asked questions
Are all glerups products Cradle to Cradle Certified®?
No — not all glerups products are Cradle to Cradle Certified®.
The certification applies to glerups slippers covered by the certificate: adult slip-ons, shoes, and boots made from 100% RWS-certified sheep wool with either calf-leather or FSC-certified rubber soles, in sizes 35–51. The official C2C registry says the certificate excludes children’s sizes and models, customized styles, and special editions.
What does ISO certification mean?
ISO certification means an independent certification body has audited an organization and confirmed that it meets the requirements of a specific ISO standard.
ISO itself is the International Organization for Standardization. It creates standards, but it usually does not certify companies directly. Certification is done by accredited third-party auditors.
In practice, ISO certification usually means:
The company has documented processes and controls.
Those processes meet a recognized international standard.
The company is audited regularly to keep the certification.
It shows a structured approach to quality, environment, safety, information security, or another area.
Which glerups are FSC® Certified?
What does FSC® rubber mean?
FSC® rubber means the natural rubber comes from a supply chain certified by the Forest Stewardship Council®, which promotes responsible forest management.
For glerups, the practical meaning is:
The rubber used for the sole is sourced from responsibly managed rubber plantations/forests and is traceable through an FSC-certified chain of custody.
It does not mean the whole slipper is made of rubber, and it does not mean every part of the product is FSC certified. The FSC claim applies to the rubber sole material.
