The original Danish slipper

In Danish design tradition, there has always been some common denominators. Getting inspired by nature and making things with a long durability are some of the key components. Then there is the classic saying that Danish design is simple, functional and elegant. All of this sum up the essence of footwear from glerups. They are simple in their design and expression, without any extra added on – just a great house shoe. They are functional in the sense that you can use them practically anywhere for anything.

Another part of the functionality actually depends on which type of sole you choose for your house shoes. There are two options, natural leather and natural rubber. The leather sole is for those, who like to stay inside with small chores, projects or just cozying up with a good book in your favorite spot. The rubber sole is for those, who enjoy their leisure time outside, tending to the garden or maybe taking a brisk walk in the woods. 

Their elegance is found in the simplicity of the design plus the neutral colors you can choose from. All the colors are inspired by Nordic nature and all have a touch of subtle elegance to them. This also leads us back to the functionality, as they are an easy fit into any existing style or wardrobe.
