It has always been a clear objective to produce all our products with care for human and nature. All our models are designed in Denmark and manufactured at our own factory in Romania.We aspire to the highest quality, and therefore we demand a strict quality control in the production.Our skilled staff work conscientiously and are conscious of the company’s and the customers’ quality requirements.
Our wool mix
glerups started with wool from their own Gotland sheep. Over the years we have found the perfect mix of wool to give your glerups a long life. We mix Gotland wool from Denmark with quality crossbreed white wool from New Zealand, all of which lives up to the highest standards for uniform quality and animal welfare. 100% pure natural wool is used for our slippers, which have either a soft leather sole or natural rubber (except for the baby shoes, which have no outsole).

Working with ZQ Merino Ensures that we receive high-quality, ethically sourced wool from farmers who prioritize sustainability and animal welfare. Their wool meets strict standards for environmental care, animal welfare, and fiber quality, guaranteeing that every fiber is traceable and responsibly produced. OUR COLOR TREATMENT
Many people use wool to keep warm, but in fact wool can also help keep the body cool. That's because wool absorbs moisture without feeling damp, up to 70% by weight by the way! - This significantly outperforms synthetic fibers or cotton. It is particularly advantageous in the summer when it is hot outside. This way no matter how much you perspire you can stay feeling dry and temperature regulated.
- Wool has always been used by both children and adults. It has a natural ability to adapt to the body's needs in all weather conditions, and it also "controls" the indoor climate in a room. NO TO MULESING
By working with ZQ Merino farmers we ensure that they do not use the mulesing method.Mulesing is a controversial practice where strips of skin are removed from a sheep’s rear to prevent flystrike, a condition caused by parasitic flies. While this method is used in some wool industries, ZQ Merino farmers take a more humane and proactive approach to animal care. Instead of mulesing, they use natural breeding selection,ensuring that their sheep have wrinkle-free skin, which significantly reduces the risk of flystrike. They also implement high animal welfare standards, including regular health checks, proper shearing schedules, and providing clean, spacious Environments for their sheep to thrive.
